High Frequency-Vacuum Technology in Wood Drying

High Frequency-Vacuum Technology in Wood Drying

High Frequency-Vacuum Combined Drying Method (HFV) has been shown to be high due to the fact that the thick timber of the hard-to-dry tree species can be dried by the conventional drying method for a very long time and the desired quality levels cannot be obtained completely. In the past, especially because of the investment costs and technological infrastructure difficulties, this method has become current again.

The principle of this drying method is; the heat source is electrical energy. Therefore, it can be assumed that it is environmentally friendly compared to solid and liquid fuel. By this method, it is aimed to dry the thick and power drying wood species with high initial moisture to the resultant humidity below 10% by utilizing the heat generated by the electromagnetic waves sent to the wood material.
